Chapter 8: Shawarma Anyone?
Spider-Man (MCU/Tom Holland) receives a strange text from a random number: it was Deadpool but spidey didn’t know that yet. Jack O’Lantern has left a trail of fiery destruction that leads straight to Venom (Topher Grace) and Venom (Tom Hardy). In the mercenary’s text he claims that the Venoms are simply misunderstood, but Spider-Man knows that the symbiotes are dangerous to everyone involved.
VENOM (Topher Grace) says “Spiiiiiider-Man... I've been waiting for round two.” Spidey then replies “Pretty sure the first round was you getting blown up by a grenade, by one of the other spider-man.From the shadows behind them, VENOM (Tom Hardy) emerges bigger, bulkier, growling like a hungry bear. Deadpool arrives laying on top of a taxi that pulled up. He slaps the top of the taxi and then jumps off saying “Get out of here girl. Daddy’s got business to attend to.”
Spider-man looked at Wade and questioned “You are the one that lured me here? Are you working with Hammerhead?” Deadpool replied with sas “I’m working with myself, thank you very much. And technically, I lured you here for your own good. “
In the middle of the street, a battle erupts between Spider-Man (MCU/Tom Holland) and Venom (Topher Grace), with Deadpool egging Spider-Man on from the sidelines. Spider-man web-zips low and slides under Venom’s lunging claws. Spidey shot an impact web strike to the back of Venom's head, followed by a backflip kick that sent him skidding into a parked car, crushing the door. Venom responds with a spiked tentacle attack, one of which grazes Spidey’s left side. Spider-man then looks behind him and wall-runs up a building and leaps off, twisting mid-air, slinging a double-web blast that yanks Venom down into the pavement head first.
Deadpool was fighting the other Venom and cheering on Spidey like a soccer mom. VENOM (Tom Hardy) gives up on deadpool and finally gets involved, charging. Spider-man throws up a quick web-shield, but Venom smashes through it. Then he grabs Spidey mid-air as he tries to escape, Spider-man spins but tears his wound on his left side open even more, wraps a web around Venom’s neck, and uses momentum to swing onto a streetlight, slamming Venom into a lamppost. Giving him enough time to wince in pain over his side.
But the fight is interrupted when Quicksilver(MCU) arrives at lightning speed, throwing the situation into disarray. Quicksilver arrived after Deadpool because he wanted to help clean up the damage they had caused a few blocks away. As Quicksilver and Spider-Man clash momentarily in battle, Deadpool takes the opportunity to taunt both heroes. However, their childish back-and-forth is stopped when a powerful explosion erupts nearby, signaling Hammerhead’s next move. Deadpool says “Aaand that would be Hammerhead and the Goo Squad making their big bank robbery debut.”
Spider-man tapped his communicator in his mask and updated Captain America (MCU/Sam Wilson) on the situation then he looked at the other two before he webbed a nearby building to swing away and said “Are you guys coming?” Deadpool intensely looked at Spidey and said "I already did watching you fight.” Quicksilver and Spider-man looked disgusted. Deadpool stares awkwardly at them for a second and then said “Anywhosies say we do the Avengers thing. You know, team up, argue, make questionable life choices, then maybe save the city before lunch. Shawarma anyone?” The three take off running or in Quicksilver’s case, zooming toward the next disaster.
The villainous team has launched a full-scale assault on a prominent bank just mere streets away, threatening to send the entire building to the ground. The Venom’s soon follow after the heroes toward the bank but they get called away to the Avengers Tower by Cap. The Venoms decided to meet Hammerhead at the bank rather than chase the heroes.
